Audi VR-Gates

Audi connect is the future of networked mobility. In 2012, passengers and visitors to Munich Airport were able to experience the principle of ‘connect’ at first hand in the Audi World of Experience.

Working to a concept provided by tisch13, madhat and sensory minds developed and produced the central objects in this Experience World: the ‘connect Gates’. HD webcams and Kinect trackers turned three 85-inch screens in portrait mode into virtual mirrors and gateways to a different world.

With the aid of simple gestures, visitors could get information on themes from the Audi World, enter live video chats with users of other ‘connect gates’, connect to the Olympic Village in London in real-time, or be there live at the 24 Hours of Le Mans
